Artikel: Learning to miss differently

Learning to miss differently
Some days,
missing someone arrives in the smallest ways.
A sentence you still want to tell them.
A funny moment your heart instinctively turns toward them to share.
A difficult evening where you still expect their voice to exist somewhere nearby.
And for a second,
it does.
Not loudly.
Not enough to bring them back.
Just enough
to remind you how deeply they once lived inside your world.
I think that is the difficult part.
Not losing people all at once,
but losing them slowly in moments that still reach for them.
At first,
the absence feels unbearable.
But over time,
the missing changes shape.
Without noticing,
they begin existing differently.
In the way you speak.
The way you react to the world.
The softness you learned from them.
The wounds too.
And maybe that is why some people never fully leave us.
Because love does not disappear with distance,
time,
or goodbye.
It simply learns
how to live somewhere else inside of us.
